The short version: Pocket Dragsters doesn't need any personal information to play. There are no ads and no tracking. Your progress is saved on your own device. If you play online, our server keeps your driver name and your passes. If you choose to make an account, it also keeps your username and email. The game can send us anonymous usage stats, and you can turn them off in Settings.

This policy covers the Pocket Dragsters game on Android and iOS, and this website. Pocket Dragsters is made by Georgia Motorsports Media ("we", "us").

Information we collect

No personal information to play. The game doesn't ask for your name, phone number, location, contacts or photos, and you don't have to sign up for anything. It has no advertising or tracking software and doesn't use your device's advertising ID. Everything it sends goes to our own server, not to any advertising or analytics company.

Anonymous usage stats

To find bugs and make the game better, the game can send us anonymous stats about how it's played: which screens and modes you use, your passes (class, car, strip, length and result), coins earned and spent, and error messages when something goes wrong, along with the game version, your device model and system version, and the language it's set to. They're tied only to a random number the game makes when it's installed, not to an account or your advertising ID, and our server doesn't keep your IP address with them. Only we see them; we never sell or share them. We keep them for up to two years. Turn off SHARE ANONYMOUS STATS in the game's Settings and the game stops sending them.

Game settings from our server

When it starts, the game downloads a small settings file from pocketdragsters.com (news, events and game balance). Downloading it sends nothing about you beyond what any web request does.

What stays on your device

Your progress, coins, cars, upgrades and builds, dial-ins, the names you type, your settings and your timeslips are saved on your device only. Deleting the game, or clearing its data, deletes them.

Online play

If you play 1V1 RIVALS or BRACKET LOBBIES, the game makes an online player for you on our server: a random player number and a secret key the game keeps. It isn't linked to your phone number or store account. For online play our server keeps:

the driver name you set in the game, which other players see (checked by a word filter);
your online passes: a recording of the pass (your car's moves, not video or sound from you), its times, the strip and length, and your car's look and setup, which other players see when they race it;
your online results, rating, rank, win-loss record and the coins your wins earned.

There's no chat or messaging. Recordings are deleted after 7 days (a little longer only while a race result that shows one is still waiting for its player); the passes' times stay for the records.

Accounts (optional)

You can make an account so your online places follow you to another phone. It keeps the username you pick, your email address (to confirm the account and reset your password) and your password, stored only as a secure hash. We only email you about your account. You can play without one.

Purchases

If you buy anything in the game, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We don't receive or store your payment details. Their own privacy policies cover what they handle: Google and Apple.

Deleting your data

To have your online player or your account deleted, use pocketdragsters.com/delete-data or email us at the address below with your driver name or username. We delete it within 30 days and tell you when it's done.

Permissions

The game doesn't use your camera, microphone, contacts, location or files.

Children

Pocket Dragsters is a family-friendly game. It needs no personal information from anyone; the stats and online play above are anonymous. Accounts are only for people 13 and older.

This website

pocketdragsters.com doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. Like any web server, ours keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running; we don't use them to identify you. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address under Google's privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
